EVENT DETAILS
Open to participants ages 6-Adult.
Participants will learn virtually via Zoom on Saturday mornings:
10:00am-12:00pm, from September 11-November 6.
This special event is a wonderful opportunity for students and adults alike to learn, grow and shine together through nurturing creative arts learning activities.
We plan to use our beloved methods of play-based learning and creating to make our learning sessions far more fun and engaging than your typical Zoom calls.
During our Saturday learning sessions, we will learn songs and dances from beloved Broadway musicals, which we will then record and edit together to create performances that will be shared with family, friends, and general audiences through online video broadcasts November 12-15.
This concert will provide a variety of opportunities for participants to shine, including chances for singing and dancing in solos, duets, small groups*, and large groups*.
*Group performances will either be recorded outdoors with health safety measures in place, or recorded individually and then edited together.
For this concert, we are committed to providing as many opportunities as possible, in order to serve people of all different ages, types, and experience levels. We are open to "casting" each character in our show in non-traditional ways, including fun and creative ways that wouldn't normally be possible in a traditional theatre show.
Participants don't need to have any prior experience or training.
We will teach you everything you need to know.
We are also open to accepting participants who cannot attend our Saturday learning sessions, but who would like to contribute a pre-recorded video performance of a specific song or part of a song (must be from our official song list, and must be approved by the director).

Our performances for this event will be broadcast on the internet on November 12-15.
Due to licensing restrictions we will NOT be able to offer this production on-demand after the final broadcast.
Audiences are welcome to watch the broadcast performances privately from the comfort of their homes, or they may set up their own watch parties with friends or family. We may also be able to offer an official group watch party, but we won't know for sure until closer to November.
We will have live-stream ticket options for individual households and for large group and small group watch parties.

MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT
This special event has been made possible by a historic collaboration between licensing company Music Theatre International and many of Broadway's most famous composers, along with several theatre businesses that are partnered with MTI to offer playbills, digital backdrops, and more.
Normally, licensing and scripts would cost thousands of dollars, with extra costs for add-ons like digital backdrops. But for this special event, all materials are being supplied free of charge. This creates an unprecedented opportunity for programs like ours to offer a truly unique theatre experience, AND to raise money doing it to help revitalize the arts after this long health crisis that has been so devastating for live arts programs and the people involved in these industries.
We are so grateful to everyone who has given so generously to make this special opportunity possible.
