Chrysalis Youth TheatreChrysalis Youth Theatre is a new kind of theatre model that uses creative learning and collaborative creation to help young people build up the foundations of healthy personal development. In contrast to many youth arts programs, Chrysalis programs are designed to eliminate the destructive elements of judgement, comparison, and unhealthy levels of competition and perfectionism that are inherent to the traditional youth theatre model that is commonly used across the United States. We focus on building a "chrysalis" experience, one that is safe and nurturing, using small family-style cast sizes and fun, supportive activities to help young people blossom and thrive. Chrysalis Youth Theatre productions typically rehearse 1-3 times a week for 1-2 hours, and all cast members are invited to every rehearsal and are given the chance to participate, learn, and grow. We are open to running productions at churches, schools, and similar programs. Click the contact us button below to inquire about bringing Chrysalis Youth Theatre to your students! |
